A Rundown on Trending Spring Jackets for Men: Barbour Jackets, Station Jackets and the French Chore Coat
This spring, men’s workwear jackets are stepping out of the workshop and into the office. Once strictly utilitarian, these rugged outer layers are being reimagined in expanded color palettes, refined fabrics and tailored fits - perfect for guys who want to blend function with style in their daily wardrobe.
From chore coats to canvas utility jackets, workwear-inspired pieces are popping up everywhere from streetwear brands to menswear staples like J.Crew and Todd Snyder. Their appeal? They offer structure, durability, and a cool, confident vibe that pairs effortlessly with business casual looks.
With more workplaces embracing relaxed dress codes, guys are seeking pieces that look sharp but feel laid-back. A well-cut workwear jacket layered over a lightweight knit, henley or tee is an easy upgrade from the basic blazer - and a lot more versatile. Whether you’re heading into the office or grabbing after-work drinks, a workwear jacket can tie your look together without trying too hard.
What to look for: When shopping for a spring workwear jacket, aim for lightweight materials like cotton twill or canvas, and Spring neutral tones like cream, navy, khaki, or olive for easy pairing. Shop the best workwear jackets for office in our stylist edit below.

Denim layering is ideal for navigating transitional seasons. The layers are enough to handle chilly mornings, but not so heavy to leave you sweating in the sun. Despite being lighter than a coat, denim fabric still exudes a utilitarian sense of heft that benefits from styling that breaks up the heaviness of the fabric. Our favorite denim on denim offsets include intentional layering, contrast accessories and this year's most prominent trend; Cinchingand Cinched Silhouettes.

11 Styling Tips for Mastering Denim on Denim Fashion
Cinched Silhouettes and Belting
This year's biggest double denim trend is keeping your jacket cinched with a roomy pant or skirt. Opt for a longline cinched jacket that's nipped at the waist, or belt it with a leather or all-denim belt.
Tuck your denim shirt in (front tuck or all the way). Belt it and pair with a matching bag and heel, flat or sandal. This look works great with flair, trouser, straight leg and wide leg jeans.
Wear your denim shirts out and oversized, breaking up the look by leaving the last few buttons undone. Other ways to keep your outfit from looking too heavy is to opt for shape-defining flare jeans, pointed heels and top layers like a blazer or tied sweater.
Accessorizing with texture helps break up the hefty nature of denim! Silk scarves, layered jewelry, suede or leather shoes/bags, textural fur and animal/snake print are all great options.
Denim midi and maxi skirts look great with trending longline cinched denim jackets and tucked in denim shirts. Pair the look with boots or heels for work or date night.
The Men’s Sneaker Style-Shift You Should Know About
The GQ-titled “Torpedo Sneaker” represents all things super-slim, including aerodynamic barely-there silhouettes and micro soles ranging from low-to-the-ground to paper thin. Retro looks and color are major players in the trend with it-shoes like puma speedcats, Adidas gazelles and sambas leading the way. Check out our Stylist Faves: Must-have Sneakers list, and read on for styling hacks on how to rock this year’s hottest sneaker trend.
The Trick to Mastering Skinny Sneakers, Navigating the Tricky “Baggy-Slim” Rule
While men in fashion are styling skinny sneakers with all kinds of pant silhouettes, some are easier to pull off than others. Most notably, the baggy pants trend is having it's moment this year.
But what pants are too baggy? We’ve seen it all in street style; and the reality is that not all silhouettes work for everyone. Take this puddle-pant summer suit, for example. While he carries the look well, a slim shoe swimming in ultra-roomy pant legs can be a difficult wear for everyday styling. A good rule of thumb is to note whether your pants are puddling slightly over the shoe, or enveloping the shoe and dragging on the ground.

The Universal Approach, Our Favorite Pants for Easy Styling
A more universal approach is to mimmic the roominess from the example above, but with more balance (so your shoe isn't lost under your pants). Aim for a loose silhouette that ends at the ankle, tapers at the ankle, is cuffed, or maintains a “baggy-slim” silhouette throughout. Example: A 90s straight leg jean.
Alternative ways to style your slim sneakers: Shorts are a forgiving garment to pair with the slim sneaker, since there's some space between your pant to the sneaker. If you want to wear sweatpants, stick to the same silhouette rule as your jeans. Easygoing "baggy-slim" and silhouettes that taper towards the ankle work best with the shape of the shoe.

Dresses with Boots Outfit Ideas to Wear for Winter 2025
If your cold weather ensembles feel weighed down by the monotony of bulky sweaters and trousers, it's time to venture out into a chic outfit combo we're loving right now: Boots and Dresses. This feminine silhouette is a polished look for work, date night and everyday. We're giving you the rundown on three trending boot silhouettes, which dresses to wear with tall boots and how to layer these pieces to stay warm.
Things to Consider Before Shopping for Tall Boots:
There are a couple things to consider before shopping for tall boots:
1. Measure BOTH Calves! (If one calf is bigger than the other, defer to the larger calf for boot sizing.) Understanding which boots are right for you can be whittled down by first comparing the measurement of your calves with the shaft of the boot. If you have athletic calves, consider extended sizing. Inclusive brands like Vince Camuto offer Women's Wide & Extra Wide Calf Boots for those who need the extra room.
2. Consider the height of your legs. If you have shorter or taller legs, you may need petite or tall sized boots. Consider brands like Duo Boots who offer specialty sizing petite and extra tall boots.
3. Consider your desired heel height and heel preferences. High heeled boot silhouettes are available for those who enjoy the added height. Block heels are great for added walkability. Low heeled boots are a great alternative shoe that still offer an elevated look without needing the height of a heel.
Comfort is Key: Riding Boots with Sweater Dresses
Riding boots are trending for 2024-2025 for their sleek minimalism, knee-high silhouette and walkability. If you need an easy boot to carry you through winter, you'll love this boot's ultra-walkable low heel. This casual boot looks amazing with equally casual sweater dresses. Utilize sheer patterned tights to fill in the space between your boot and leg for warmth and added texture into your outfit.
Combination to Try: Pair a mini or midi sweater dress with tights, riding boots, a jacket or blazer and a matching bag/belt/accessories.

Hot & On-Trend: Moto Boots, Leather Jacket and a Dress
If you want an on-trend look that serves sweetness with some edge, pair your moto boots and leather jacket with a dress underneath. Bonus points if you add some floral tights, bows or lace to keep the style high-contrast. This look is great for going out and date night! The Key to This Look: Balance edgy moto boots and a leather jacket with a dress and tights or knee socks.
Styling tip: Socks and Legwarmers Let some knee socks or leg warmers show at the top of your moto boots.
Styling tip: Sheer Tights Punky moto boots look great with sheer tights.

What height boot should you wear with a midi dress? If you're tall, you can easily wear either ankle or tall boots. For petite frames, tall boots help create the illusion of longer legs. If tall boots aren’t an option due to a wider calf, try wearing ankle boots with tights or socks in the same color to mimic that elongated look. Alternatively, opt for boots in a shade close to your skin tone to avoid visually cutting off the leg line.
What’s the best boot to wear with a sweater dress? Tall boots are a great choice. They add structure, balance the softness of the sweater dress, and help create a streamlined, flattering silhouette.

What to Wear to A Holiday Party in 2024: Start With a Strategy
The most important part in figuring out what to wear to your holiday parties this season starts with good old-fashioned planning. Put the time in now and you won’t have to worry throughout the season! At a time that's all about reconnection and being together, you'll want to feel like the best version of yourself. And if that weren't reason enough, planning now allows for you to save some money, too - Any pieces missing from your holiday wardrobe can be snagged in pre-holiday sales!
First: You'll want to pull out your calendar, and lay out ALL of your upcoming events. Let's say you look at your calendar and find the following: Thanksgiving dinner, an office holiday party, 3 holiday parties, a holiday celebration with family, and a New Years Party. That's already SEVEN holiday outfits to plan for!
Next, you're going to identify this: What kind of outfits do your upcoming events need? Is it an outside or inside party? Is it a themed sweater or scarf party? Is there a color theme?
Then, you'll want to catalog what you already have in your wardrobe. What are the pieces you have saved for the holidays? Do you have any special scarves, holiday sweaters, velvet pieces, glittering accessories or sentimental holiday pieces that you save for this time of year? Check your closet for textural pieces like sheer, leather, sequin, velvet or silk. Look for thematic colors like red, burgundy, wintery blue, deep green, metallic or cream.
Here's an example of how you can utilize different textured skirts to create a great holiday party outfit:
Once you identify what kind of outfits you need, how many outfits you need, what you already have in your wardrobe and what is missing from your wardrobe, you can move onto the next step: Mastering the Holiday Dressing Formula.
Mastering The Holiday Dressing Formula
Putting together a festive holiday outfit is simple: All it takes is one festive piece! First, identify your holiday piece: Something textural, metallic, sequined, fuzzy or thematically colored. Then surround your piece with casual elements that are either monochrome or in neutral colors. It's THAT easy. Dress your look up or down with shoes and accessories based on your event.
Why it works: The loudest piece in your outfit will help define your look! That's why the right holiday piece makes an outfit feel inherently "dressed up", even when surrounded by casual pieces. Metallics, shines and wild textures/patterns give that "wow factor" we want in a party outfit without running the risk of being too dressed up at casual-leaning parties.
